B-Ball

Alright ladies and gents.
So liveitup was pre-empted this week in favour of a Lancers Basketball Double Header.
S'all good. Instead of the usual biz, I've got a huge newspost for you this week. Alot of this is commin from c-dawg, so props to him and the street team.
Here goes.

January '09
Big month. Lots of live action goin on, and with some pretty big names too. I'm not gonna list em all, check the January Shows post for more info.
What I DO want to point out is that the Chubby Pickle here in Windsor is gettin alot of action nowadays. Next week there are two shows that I'm sure to make it out to (Cut To The Chase, I Am The Vine and Living Martyr on the 25th; Cancer Bats, Dead and Divine, Tough Luck!, Analyze The Catastrophe and Blurt on the 29th) and in Feb there are a few more that I've discovered (including AMBUSH!).
I'm real pumped about this, because Windsor has never really had a solid venue that stuck around long. We've kinda bounced around between the Gino A Marcus, Liquor Box and Octane for a while there (and a short stint with The Vatican on Monmouth), but never anythin permanent. Maybe the Pickle is gonna finally be that place. Already attracting some pretty big names, so hopefully we can keep em commin, and make Windsor a stop for the bands we love.
Also, we're still getting good local talent in there with the big boys, which is always good to see. So far, liveitup has been pretty much "restricted" to the air and here at the site. With the Saints Never Surrender interview approachin quick (Jan 31st, Cluctch Cargos) I've definitely been feelin the need to start reppin at our local gigs. liveitup needs a local base if it's gonna go anywhere. The show has grown quite alot in it's first few months of life, and it shows no sign of stoppin. Hopefully you're as siked as I am about this, and we can make this huge.
I'l keep you posted on anythin and everythin, beginning with liveitup showin some presence at our local digs this sunday. Be there, and stay tuned.
